Mulberry Silk is graded from 1A to 6A based on filament length, uniformity, and the absence of imperfections. Grade 6A is the highest — the longest, most uniform filaments with maximum lustre. Most brands use 3A or 4A. We use 6A because the difference is immediately noticeable in softness, drape, and durability. It is not a marketing claim; it is a measurable standard.
Momme (mm) measures the weight and density of silk fabric — similar to thread count for cotton. Standard silk pillowcases use 16–19mm. At 22mm, ours is heavier, denser, and more durable. It drapes better, feels more substantial, and holds up to years of regular washing without thinning or losing its feel.

Care & Maintenance
Machine wash on a delicate or silk cycle in cold water, using a gentle pH-neutral detergent — avoid anything with enzymes or brighteners. Lay flat or tumble dry on the very lowest heat setting. Do not bleach, iron at high heat, or dry clean. Washed and cared for correctly, your pillowcase will stay beautiful for years.
We recommend washing every 1–2 weeks, or the same frequency as your other pillowcases. Silk is naturally less hospitable to bacteria than cotton, so it doesn't require more frequent washing — but regular washing keeps it fresh and at its best.
Not when cared for correctly. Grade 6A silk at 22-momme is significantly more durable than lower-grade silk products. The key is cold water, gentle detergent, and low heat drying. Avoid harsh detergents and high heat and your pillowcase will hold its feel and lustre for years.
