There are six grades of Mulberry Silk. We use the highest. Here's why that matters — and why we won't compromise.

Mulberry Silk is graded from 1A to 6A based on filament length, uniformity, lustre, and the absence of imperfections. Grade 6A represents filaments so long and uniform that they produce fabric with unmatched softness, drape, and durability. Most "silk" pillowcases on the market use 3A or 4A. Ours is 6A — the maximum. You feel the difference immediately.
We could save money using a lower grade. We don't. The grade is the product.
Our silk begins with Bombyx mori silkworms fed exclusively on fresh mulberry leaves — the only diet that produces the fine, uniform filaments required for Grade 6A classification.
Only cocoons meeting the strictest size and uniformity standards are selected. Cocoons with any irregularities are rejected at this stage — regardless of cost.
Filaments are reeled at length rather than broken — preserving the continuous strand that gives Grade 6A silk its characteristic smoothness and tensile strength.
Woven to 22-momme weight — denser and heavier than the 16–19mm used by most brands. The result is a pillowcase that's both luxuriously smooth and built to last years, not months.
Momme (mm) is to silk what thread count is to cotton — it measures the weight and density of the fabric. Most consumer silk products use 16–19mm. At 22mm, our pillowcase is meaningfully heavier, denser, and more durable. It drapes better, feels more substantial, and holds up to years of weekly washing without thinning or losing lustre.
Higher momme also means more silk fibre per square inch — which directly translates to the surface smoothness you're sleeping on.
